Altium · PCB Design · RF · embedded firmware
Elevate's next-generation flight computer: STM32, UWB + RF comms, three pyro channels, a 5V/8A buck, and <1% larger than previous versions. All custom drivers because I used fancy new sensors and apparently no-one was C-pilled like I was.
A Rocket That Can Steer Itself
control systems · sensor fusion · kalman filtering
Thrust-vector-controlled model rocket stabilized by a 2-axis gimbal and a direct-quaternion non-linear P²+I controller, which held attitude within 5° of setpoint on the final of 4 launches across 2 design iterations.
Flight Computer · Gen 1
PCB design · C/C++ · state machines
Elevate V1 Flight computer. Forced myself to route a 256 pin 0.5mm BGA on a 4 layer board (cruel and unusual, would not recommend). Specs: 2x pyros, 2x servos, IMU, NXP i.MX RT1062

Power Electronics (In Design)
power electronics · magnetics · prototyping
Zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) flyback driver for rapidly charging a 15,000 µF capacitor bank to 160 VDC. Chunky custom magnetics, heavy copper plating, and a load switch for rapidly discharging said bank (don't worry about the application...)
Robotics · ML
robotics · imitation learning · Python
Trained a robotic arm to assemble 18650 cells from teleoperated demonstrations using an ACT imitation-learning policy. Honorable Best AMD Hack at StarkHacks.

Authored Research
materials science · Python · 3D printing
Paper + defense on recycling polypropylene from fishing nets and rope then reinforcing it with glass fiber as 3D-printer filament to clean up our oceans. Characterized via DSC, tensile, and Charpy analysis.

04 — About
I like working on hard or bespoke problems. Particularly, I'm interested in neuromorphic computing, making computing more efficient, robotics, rockets, and space. In my free time I play guitar, train for triathlons, and make content (1M+ views across platforms).
